While it is believed to be crossed from Thai and Nepalese sativa landraces by U.S. reproducers, many have made a case for this present strain's creation.
Chemdawg has medium-sized buds that appear to be somewhat unique from those of half and half or pure indica ancestry. The buds have generally free and wispy leaves. The spring green leaves are canvassed in tacky white trichomes, allowing the buds to have a silver-white appearance. Due to the blend of their free structure and resinous surface, buds of Chemdawg are especially hard to separate by hand - users preparing flowers for joints or pipes will have an easier time using a grinder.
TASTE AND FLAVOUR
The buds for the Chemdawg strain are interlaced with red to orange pistils. Chemdawg has a smell suggestive of diesel fuel (which many state is the wellspring of the "chem" in its name). The pungent flowers likewise radiate smells of earthy musk and some pine. However as long as the buds are properly cured, this strain has smooth smoke that tastes sour when inhaled.
Good thing in Canada cannabis use is legalized, otherwise this one was one of those strains to hide from nosy neighbours
Chemdawg is also compatible with those who work in the creative field, as it can spurn them on into an intensely inspired creativity streak. A few puffs are said to be enough to set off a case of the uncontrollable giggles, and while the high can’t be described as extreme, it is known to be quite intense.
Other effects users experience are cerebral, creative, euphoria, happy, and relaxed.
The Chemdawg cannabis strain helps support patients suffering from Bipolar disorder, Chronic Pain, Depression, Insomnia, Loss of Appetite, Migraines, Nausea, PTSD, and Stress.
Dry mouth and dry eyes are possible when using this strain, while other side effects are less likely.
Chemdawg is a strain that is typically grown indoors. It is prone to diseases such as mildew and molds and is therefore best kept in an optimized environment. This strain isn’t easy to grow, and can be sensitive to extreme weather conditions.
This plant needs good ventilation, the perfect levels of humidity and a sufficient air circulation. Ideally, Chemdawg should be grown in organic soil and treated with a conservative amount of fertilizers. This strain is recommended only to veteran growers, as it can be very meticulous and difficult to cultivate.
When grown indoors, Chemdawg can yield very generously. This plant needs about 9 weeks to flower, and during harvest you can expect an average yield of 28 ounces of good bud per square meter.
Housed outdoors, this hybrid can be a bit tricky to keep. However, once you have gotten the conditions right, this strain can produce a yield of around 35 ounces per plant. Chemdawg when raised outdoors is ready for harvest sometime in the month of October.
